..WHO IS CAMERON STOVALL  ...

GET TO KNOW CAM...

Cameron Stovall was born March 25, 1988 in Gadsden, Alabama.  He was raised by his parents Mary and Gary Stovall. Cameron had what most would consider a normal life growing up and was very involved in sports. He attended Glencoe high school where he earned ALL- STATE honors in Football, Baseball, and Basketball.  Growing up as an only-child, Cameron spent a lot of his time with his three older cousins Jared, Micah and Seth Harbison. Cameron lived on the Coosa river near Hokes Bluff Alabama where he  loved spending his summers fishing, camping, and riding his Sea-Doo.  Until one day when tragedy struck...

On July 5th, the summer before Cameron's Senior year of High School, He was backing his Sea-Doo in the water when he heard the horrible news that his Cousin Jared had tragically died. The news that would greatly affect Cameron for years to come.

Fast forward a few years to that same day in 2009. Cameron Stovall, His Cousin Seth, a few friends, and their Uncle, Danny Harbison, set out on a rock-climbing/repelling adventure as was tradition this time of year.  The fun-filled adventurous day was cut short when "Uncle Danny" fell over 60 feet to the rocks below. Danny spent over 3 months in the ICU in Birmingham before losing the battle on October 15. For years, Cameron continued to blame himself for Uncle Danny's Death. This was a burden that was really hard to carry for a young college student in the months to come, Cameron would experience something he had never seen... severe Depression and Anxiety while trying to deal with the death of his Uncle Danny and Jared.

Just a few years down the road after Danny's death Cameron Graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Forestry. In the next 9 months Cameron had a very successful career as a timber buyer.  Cameron loved working in the woods and meeting people.  He ran two full-time logging crews harvesting timber for land owners all over Northeast Alabama. Life for Cameron seemed like everything was on the right track and Cam seemed to be getting over his past tragedies until...

f
Cameron went turkey hunting in April of 2014. What was supposed to be just a routine turkey hunting trip with some friends and family, turned again to be a complete tragedy!  Cameron was turkey hunting with a buddy when he was accidentally shot at 25 yards through some brush by a 12 Gauge Shotgun.  He was immediately blind in both eyes and had a collapsed lung.  Cam was taken to UAB hospital because of his severe injuries.  He was placed on a ventilator and given no hope of ever being able to see again.

But wait the story doesn't end there....
